Ditto. I run the email server for our office, and this address is part of my work domain. My server tagged it as spam and deleted before I could forward.

I received 2 in my email just today. Didn't open either one, but it did catch my attention. I get thousands of spam each day and I'm real good at deleting it in large blocks.

Someone is obviously harvesting information here at the TBN web site. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I did not get this email....I do not have mine posted. But is it really wrong to go through this site and copy those address's that are posted for the general user to view? I guess anyone could do that. Just wondering.

I just quickly checked tractorpoint and there have been no posts related to this scam/survey. That tells me it might just be localized to TBN.

Yes. It's a violation of the U.S. Federal "Can Spam" law, passed by congress and signed by the President, in effect January 1st, 2004.

Harvesting e-mail addresses as we believe this company has done, is a violation of this law and carries severe penalties.

As I said, we will do what we can to get it stopped.

Yes, it is "wrong." First, it is a violation of our TBN Terms of Service; Second it is specifcially a violation of the recently passed FEDERAL LAW (the CANSPAM Act of 2003). Harvesting emails from web sites is ILLEGAL and carries both civil and criminal penalities. Sending spam email to addresses so harvested, is further violation of CANSPAM. We are taking it very seriously, rest assured.

I got it, too. It is the second thing I got from TBN like that. The first was quite a while ago and was about Paynes Forks. I haven't deleted it yet, so I will forward it. I was gonna post a topic about it, but I didn't know if it was a TBN legit thing. Ok, just sent the forward...

I'm sure, as a consulting firm, they are selling a client a very specific group of tractor buyers so they can SPAM the heck out of all of us. John
