Tractor will only start by pull starting???

Couldn't bad injectors or mis-timed pump also have same symptoms?

It's always good to check the simple and less expensive stuff first. Stay hopeful that's it's still something simple and cheap.

Injectors that are fuel starved can smoke like crazy. How did you purge the lines to the injectors? Have you tried to purge air from the injector lines again where the line bolts to the injectors?

Sounds like your 6mo old battery has been run dead and allowed to sit that way. Batteries do not like that at all, and it's very likely junk. A new battery will likely spin the engine over faster than a junk battery and 6ga jumper cables, so that may be a large part of the starting problem.

But it now sounds like you've got bigger problems... White sometimes indicates a head gasket. Was it overheated? Could be injector issues too, if it's been sitting a long time. Usually bad compression wouldn't be a high speed miss, so perhaps that points more toward injector issues... You can pull them and have them cleaned by a diesel place, and check the compression at the same time.

We have cracked the fuel line at the Injector and pumped it up with the hand primer and tried to start to try and get any air out of the lines. And Jim are talking about putting low air pressure to the Fuel tank while trying to start? I don't know the Histroy of this tractor but the owner said it would only smoke when he first started it, but now it continues to out out white smoke. But it was his Father in Laws tractor and he got it 1 year after his father in law passed away. And I'm agreeing with yaw about Cleaniing/Checking the Injectors and checking the Compression. But And the owner is a Electrican and he said he knows Alternator is weak, but he hasn't replaced it??? I recomended cleaning the injectors and checking compression, I'll have to wait and see what he does. Thanks for the Input from yaw.
