So Trump threatens tariffs and things have already begun to show signs of improvement. What a great step in the right direction for America. Love to see that other countries are beginning to respect us again. (y)
Nailed it. 47 has accomplished more since 11/5 and 11/6 than Uncle Bosie has in 60 years in government

I have pursued a balanced portolio all my life. And while you continue to personally attack me, which is usually against the rules, I’ll remind you the topic is about tractors/tarrifs, not about personal vendettas.

A trait of a well rounded individual is accepting constructive criticism without taking it as a personal attach.

Me living inside your head rent free is not attacking you.

Now lets get back to tariffs and tractors, ok big guy? You’re constantly taking us off topic. You can always use PM’s. That’ll help keep the discussion going in a positive direction.

Amazing isn’t it? I mean just the expertly timed threat of tariffs has brought back respect from the depths and lows we are currently in.
Maybe as a result, more tractors will also be made here and we can enjoy more domestic production instead of having everything made in China?

My Challenger MT655E was made in Jackson, MN USA. Although Challenger Tractor has been finished off, maybe some tariffs will bring some production back home?

I guess a tariff will actually have to be implemented, for us to have a real discussion.

It appears small Kubotas are manufactured in the US, so the only hit may be to the steel that they import? For some odd reason both Joe and Trump want to block an Italian company from saving US Steel, in that case, US Steel is going close plants because they are old, inefficient and not competitive. I think both men are probably wrong on that decision.

I'm more interested in a 1970s Farmall than I am a new import at this point in time, however.

Seems like just the threat has done al lot, though.

Huh, I thought they assembled them here? Never saw a USA made small kubota engine. My zero turns and my F were all Japanese made. Would be cool.

Damn, I just practically gave away hundreds of Farmall parts…

Sure hope. It's damn near impossible to find something made in the good ole USA these days. I just purchased some Lowa shoes made in Slovakia and Haix boots made in Croatia to avoid China crap.

And for all the critics of tariffs…..doesn’t China and other countries tariff the bejeebers out of some of our exports to them?

I'm not going to complain, when our gains are 30% this year in our accounts. But it looks like November was the best month by a small margin. Certainly doesn't seem like the sky is falling. And it's up 1% in just the first week in December, which would equate to 52% if it kept that pace. But we all know how the markets work, they fluctuate. My point was, after a historic win by 47, it looks like just more winning, and we should all hope for that.
I’m going to treasuries in January until we see how the tariffs shake out.

Critics usually get it wrong and the general public should pay little attention to knee-jerk rants. Smart people in charge now so it's best we let them....well, "be in charge" Could be a major step forward given the last four years of no-one in charge, or in charge of decline.
yes, China is by far the worst, but it's not just them
The trade imbalance has been closeted in the name of globalism. Free trade to them means that the US needs to absorb the difference and make up for it with global diversity. With 37 trillion in debt, that plan has fallen on some hard times with a heavy taxpayer mortgage today let alone our future

Lots of invested people in globalism so they are the squeaky wheel. (but behind the scenes these once naysayers have a positive outlook getting America more competitive within) The legitimate ones are not against reinvesting in America .... "a rising tide floats all boats" so this might have the same benefits to all classes, as it did in Trumps first term.
Keeping the dollar as the worlds # 1 trading currency is also at stake. Money manipulation creates a false sense of economic viability and "free trade" gets the paper shuffle with the elites holding all the cards. Nefarious China as the main beneficiary.

Squawking about tariffs is knee-jerk at this point, but maybe they just don't like the new Sheriff? .....Sadly the controlling elites in our country and abroad have moved our economy away from independence and into dependence. Pretty convinced it's not serving the working class or small farmers and businesses. Think the majority of Americans have the same notion.
