The splitter is a 4 foot horizontal 3 point hitch, with it's own PTO drive hydraulics, so tractor only has to run at an idle
Manufactured by American Conveyors & Log Splitters in Honeoye, New York
Harvested much of my own wood from 140 acres of Tree Farm, but did buy some in on occasion

Another big log... don't even have the mill together yet and will have to trim this some to get it on. (and figure out a way to lift it, can barely drag it!)

When ever I see vines on a log like that I think poison ivy.
Yes, it was poison Ivy. But it's been dead and dried up for a long time. My forearms rubbed against it while setting the chains yesterday and I didn't get anything from it.

I had this tree fall part way over a few days ago, it was hung up in another tree. Its about 24” in diameter above the stump. It finally broke off the tree it was hung up in and fell on an old chicken coop. The second pic shows the chicken coop, it originally held up the tree, about head high. The chicken coop hasn’t been used since we’ve lived here and I was finally able to get it to collapse so I could get at the tree. The chicken coop was in bad shape but must have been made of titanium m I had a heck of a time to get it to fall in.

Poison ivy usually doesn’t break out on me for 3 days after exposure. I got in some at the yard in E. Texas earlier last week. It was in a place I have never encountered it before so I wasn’t watching for it until too late. It’s starting to bother me some now.

I get temporary relief from the itching with Bactine spray.
