I'll mill a couple beams out of the tree on the left,

The rest has already been cut up for firewood.

What great ideas and how resourceful. Made it only part way through the threads. So much to learn, so little time.

I bought this hand tool many years ago. I use it for gardening, stone and block work, weeding, mulching, digging, etc..
Given the pristine condition of your tractor I guessed it was to get little specs of sand out of your tire treads ;)

I have never created a build it yourself thread. Any suggestions as to what I should
offer other than photos?

I'm always interested in what the fabricator/designer was thinking when I see a nicely executed product. There are always tradeoffs, and a clean design often gives the appearance that there were none. Cost, capacity, weight, versatility, durability, ease of use, material grade, difficulty to make - all get traded in the design/build process. So devote some time describing what was important to you when you were designing & building your tractor's "workstation".

Got it..thanks for the direction.

Just to let you know how this design idea was born.

I had just brought home my first tractor and found that I did not even have a place to put a water bottle.

I then began thinking of all the other items I would need to transport (in the bucket)-chainsaw/s, shovels,
rakes, chains, straps, tools, axe, trimmer, blower, etc.. Seemed to me that it was going to be very
difficult to use the bucket due to the fact that it would be loaded with equipment everyday.

Also, from what I was reading on TBN, ballast was essential for loader work.

These issues needed to be resolved. I began by making a list of all that I would need to carry-ballast included.

The design needed to:
- provide cargo space
-eliminate unnecessary handling and delays
-provide appropriate and easily adjustable ballast for safety
-provide a quick way to carry a maximum load of firewood without
having to stop and hook up a cart or trailer.
-provide a means of transporting long length lumber

I am happy to say that after 2 years of use, I have yet to find a need to redesign any aspect of the carry all.

I now need to locate my original material receipts in order to complete a material list. Will do that asap.
I will let you know when that is complete and posted on the new thread.

Jim-Workstation is an excellent description.
