As it’s been mentioned before, TBN is monetizing this forum for their benefit. This idea of us being guests in someone’s house is weak BS. if we aren’t actually paying guests we are the ones bringing the party. It's a privately owned forum. We all knew the rules when we signed up. Frankly, I have no problem with the owner of a private business setting and enforcing their own rules. If I'm on a forum where I don't like the rules, and I'm not able to convince the owner to change them, I have a choice: live with a rule I don't like, or do what Oldpath seems to have decided and find some place else to go.
I've been a member here for almost 20 years now. That rule has been in place since before I started. I think it's there with good reason: getting sucked into arguments over politics and religion have destroyed many good forums (and many friendships).
In essence, we are guests in Mohammed's house. When we are in his house, we play by his rules.
Maybe I missed it, who was arguing with Oldpath over his signature line? That rule has been in place since before I started. I think it's there with good reason: getting sucked into arguments over politics and religion have destroyed many good forums (and many friendships).

So what? I equate it more to a store owner requiring shoes and shirt. Or, as a woman I spent time with said about horse stables; "His barn, his rules." Just as it's our choice not to enter if we don't like those rules. As it’s been mentioned before, TBN is monetizing this forum for their benefit. Where are these rules people speak of? I looked through the "Terms Of Use", I didn't see anything about only tractor discussions are allowed.I can't say that it's Godless, I don't even discuss religion with my family. The rules have always been the same. Muhammed seems to be a more obvious presence lately, I don't know if it's that or if somebody complained. It is his forum so we have to follow his rules. OP wasn't told to leave, if he does it's by his choice.
I do hope that he comes back though, this thread won't be the same without him.
