Looks like you are getting real good with the grapple! Interesting tires on the Kioti. Nice.

They were HUGE (by black walnut standards) logs, about 30"+ diameter. The tree had been dead a while when I saved it from the dump so the outsides are a little soft. But yes there is plenty of good wood left. Probably not gonna make any cabinets out of it, but I see many nice cutting boards coming from it.That's looking a little funky, did you get some good stuff out of it?
Thanks @goeduck , those are the R14 tires which are fairly new. Sort of a crossover between R1 and R4, thus R14 but also turf friendly. I believe the construction to be similar to the R4 for sidewall strength. I had R1 tires on my old tractor, was originally going to go with R4 for this one. Decided to give these a try. So far they are working out pretty well.Looks like you are getting real good with the grapple! Interesting tires on the Kioti. Nice.
I'll watch the neighbors for crappy old flower box cars and see if I can scoop a jack of some kind.Yeah, my saw is more manual than yours.
And I like the fact my jack is wider more stable than a car jack and has the provision to bolt it down.
The bottle jack seems like it would be unstable holding up one end of a log...I'll watch the neighbors for crappy old flower box cars and see if I can scoop a jack of some kind.
I could even mount a plate across the top for stability.
I'm even visualizing a sort of rack that will allow it to be suspended between the rails of the deck and movable as needed.
Maybe over-engineering too.
I think I have a 6 ton bottle jack somewhere that was left behind by a tractor trailer tire repair guy (never bothered to
come back for it). It's kind of a heavy bugger, but free at the moment.
Thanks for the tips everyone.

Interesting. I have not seen those before. Are yours radials? Thanks @goeduck , those are the R14 tires which are fairly new. Sort of a crossover between R1 and R4, thus R14 but also turf friendly. I'm not really certain but am inclined to think they are not radials. They do say they are low sidewall tires but I/m not really seeing the word "radial" anywhere. Hard to find any hard specs but here is how they are being marketed.Interesting. I have not seen those before. Are yours radials?
