Thanks Steve! I had tractor envy when I saw the M105X, but I couldn't justify it to my wife! hahahaa!

Attached is a picture of factory rear lights installed by dealer on l5030 .. have not really had a chance to put them to the test yet but they seem to put out adequate light.

Joe: I have found most of the creaking is from the plastic/glide strips on the three point hitch control lever and the plastic/glide strip on the transmission gear selection control lever. Move them a little in either direction and most of the creaking will cease. I thought of putting a little grease/vaseline on it but have yet to need it after figuring it out what was making the creaking noise. As my wife says "I just turn up the XM Radio and it goes away".

Did you get the work lights? Did you install them yourself?

Hah, I also have an L3010 and the same dream! There's a gently used L5030HSTC on my dealer's lot for $27k. I salivated at the sight, but then I sat in the beast and had two thoughts. (1) It's absolutely beautiful! (2) There is no way I could safely navigate that beast through the trees in my woods.

So I came back to earth and started looking at the 4330/4630 twins again.

But if I had the space!!!

I worked the work lights into the deal when I was negotiating. They installed them, but it looks like a very easy job! I installed a stereo, and it was much easier than I thought. I took my time, so I spent three hours on it. If I were to do it again, I could do it in under and hour.

Pete, I would have the same problem. I'd rather have the trees. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There the beauty of buying used, the first weekend mine was home it headed into the woods. I have plenty of rub marks up and down the sides now and did tear the boots off the tire rod ends.

I find it steers so sharp and is so low I rarely have to worry. Also the cab tends to brush limbs away.

The previous tractor I used in the woods was a couple feet taller and wider, so I used to break lights off every time it went in the woods. 3 last year I believe!
