Trading a 1 yr old Kioti on a Kioti 750tl skid steer

This is probably a question I know the answer to but here goes anyway. I purchased my Lioti RX 7320 CB 12/1/23 I am considering trading it in on a Kioti 750 TL machine as that is closer to what I needed in the first place.

My tractor only has 30 hours on it and has been under cover most of the time. Perfect interior as well.

This may be a losing proposition but with the new potential tarrifs I am wondering if I could do this without losing any money?

Almost definitely not. The skid steer cost more to start with and the tractor has probably depreciated 10k.

If you are wanting to not be out any money as in an even trade then I would say almost definitely not as well. But if you are trying not to lose any money then you may have a shot. List your tractor locally for what you originally paid for it and see what happens. If someone is looking for that size and have priced new, they may be willing to pay your price. You will take a hit on trade in if you go that route.

There’s also no sales tax on the trade that helps even the difference. I traded excavators back in the fall and I had it listed for sale for 3 weeks before I traded. Nobody offered me more money or even equal to what the dealer did so I traded it.

I'm also curious to see what Kioti does about the tariffs (If it will effect them) - I imagine they'll just move a factory here. I love Kioti - I have had several pieces of equipment from them.

Gave it a try but looks like the tractor business is no different from the auto business. I will keep it pristine and maybe with some time the equity will turn in my favor.

I really wanted a skidsteer but the prices was about 20k more. Thanks for all your input

My understanding is it shouldn't effect them to bad as S. Korea as a fair trade agreement with the US.

You could ask the dealer for a quote. Then you will have something specific to mull over. Seems like Kioti was having a sale on their skid steers recently?

Having an agreement is only good if the ones bound by the agreement are honorable enough to keep the agreement. I guess we will see.
