i put a chain through the wheels. i know someone could drag it, but if they are that dedicated, i am not sure they would get too far down the road before they had an issue.

Or they could just bring a cordless grinder or bolt cutters and be on their way in 30 seconds.

I run a chain through the wheels and then around the 30 diameter tree I park it next to. If they steal it they will probably pull the axels off

Seldom use it.... Bought it to avoid paying $100 to have my Gator or B3200 hauled literally three miles to the dealer(s)...

You answered your own question with this comment. Just don't put it in the easiest spot to get at it, put it where you feel safe leaving it. It doesn't even have to be accessible with your truck if you can move it with the gator or the tractor. Just pull it out when you need it and put it back when you're done.

Putting a hitch on the front of your tractor or gator will make putting your trailer anyplace MUCH easier.
I really don't believe it took me 60 years of driving to discover what people had been telling me all those years was true.
Almost all trailer transport ON my property now is with a front hitch.

yep, same with almost every other way to secure anything.


chain is the largest that would fit in the wheel hole, and larges lock that will fit in that chain. my tenet moved it once without unlocking it, chain was fine drug on gravel/dirt.

Some people have apparently never seen or used one. Chains are frequently assumed indestructible with all of this talk about ripping axels out or cutting the anchor tree. In reality heavy duty zip ties are about as secure.

It's a little bit of work but I second pulling the wheels. Not just for theft protection but also to prevent dry rotting. Keeping them out of the sun goes a long way towards getting full life out of them. Since you said you rarely use it you have the potential of one going flat and sitting that way for an extended time. A thief would have to really want it to show up and put wheels on it to steal it.
