I have a 2008 Travel Trailer at the Ranch, about 27 feet long with a slide out. I noticed that the awning is wearing real thin at the top edge, where it is exposed to the elements even when it's rolled up. There are places where you can see right through it, all along the top edge. Is there anything that can be brushed on, that might stretch it's life for awhile? Or am I doomed to start looking for a new awning?

It's worth atry to brush on some Elasomeric Coating and see if it helps. The coating is available at the big box stores in 1 and 5 gallons. It should stick very well to the fabric if left to dry before rolling back up.

Look for Awning repair tape. Can be found at WalMart in RV department. When awning is rolled up put a length of eavestrough over rolled up awning.
