I have been wanting a small enclosed cargo trailer for some various needs. I checked the local dealer websites before heading out and check what was available. A single axle 6x12 enclosed trailer would do the trick. I targeted in on a Doolittle Bullitt 6x12 V nose that a local dealer had. They wanted roughly $3400 for the trailer.
I stopped in Saturday to look at it. Great little trailer. Rear ramp and side door. I got inside and had my grandson close it up so I could check for any light that would show an area where water could get thru. All tight. Underside was completely sealed and undercoated. But it did have some minor exterior dimples from a hail storm a month ago.
Result? I bought it. The dealer knocked the price down to $2500 due to the hail "damage" which was purely cosmetic and barely noticeable on the white exterior. Roof was good. I got the dealer to put E-Trac rails at 2' and 4' high, full length along both sides of the interior. Also, put 6 recessed tie down rings in the floor. Also a interior Spare tire mount and spare tire up in the V nose of the trailer. All total for $2960 off the lot. $400 cheaper than the listed price for the trailer alone.
Check around for those little bargains that may be hiding in your area. Doesn't matter what type of trailer one has in mind.
