Also, what did you do to your drums? The first line of your post states you replaced everything new, EXCEPT, the drums. Did you have your drums machined to give a concentric diameter with a new surface to mate to your new shoes? If not, that's part of your problem. The drum contact surface needs to be de-glazed when installing new shoes. Otherwise all you will get is polished new shoes. B.
I did not do this. Where do I get this done? Does everybody do this or just some people?

update; I took a set of jumper cables and jumped the working side across to the nonworking side, bypassing the wire through the axle. I got power to the magnets verified by the humm. So I started checking for continuity through the axle wires. Could not get any continuity. Then I noticed something not seen before. The wire that goes through the axles was double shielded. I had only stripped the outer down to the clear. All my crimps with the double shielded wires had to be redone. I am at that age when glasses will have to be kept in my toolbox. Got plenty of braking power now. Thanks for your posts

:laughing: Sound exactly like something I would have done. Hate this far sightedness.
