MikePA,
I will post this one just for you... I DID weld a hook on the top of my trailer hitch. I have already used it once to pull my boat out of the mud. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
Looks nice. Just be careful pulling too much/hard with the hook
located above the axle. It could cause you to torque over backwards /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif.
I also made one. I did find out one thing, that when it is hooked to my boat and I back up it had better not be above the center point. while the three point lifts it does not hold down. as you back up it will climb to the top. No damage to me boat or tractor but it did supprize me a bit.
chocolatehauler,
You are right.... I always make sure the trailer is tongue heavy before I move it anywhere. 90% of the time it is just used to drive the kids around the block on the trailer.
Great looking hitch. Mind if I steal your design for my new not yet purchased tractor? Your Atari emblem reminded me of my early days on a 520 & 1040ST Atari computer. I developed our company database on Dbman and we still use it today. Ported to PC....
