Trailer Question

Hoping to order a TC24D soon. As I studied the various specs from NH, I can't seem to get enough information to determine what the total length would be for the 24D w/ 12LA FEL and 756C backhoe. Obvioulsy, I would need this information before I will know what length of trailer I will need.

Does anyone here know? For whatever reason, I was thinking 16 ft. would be adequate but this is only a guess.

The tractor is 106.2 inches & I would use 36 inches for the FEL and 48 inches for backhoe. This gives just about 16 feet. Would think you would want room at each end. I think you are looking at an 18ft. trailer. Then you need the weights to figure axle weight needed. Tractor 1,723 pounds, FEL @ 1,000 pounds & back hoe @ 1,000+ pounds.

A 16 footer with a backhoe might work out just fine. My TC18 with 12LA is the same length as the 24 without the backhoe. My trailer is 16'. When I put the 18 on the trailer, I can't run it all the way up to the front because of tongue weight. I have to leave it back far enough to balance it that the backhoe wouldn't fit. However, the backhoe is probably more than heavy enough to balance the FEL and allow you to pull the rig all the way up on the trailer. I haven't tried it, or measured, but I doubt I could fit the 18 with brush hog on the trailer - I suspect the brush hog is a little too long, and not heavy enough to allow the tractor to pull all the way up without putting too much tongue weight on it.

Now, all that said, my trailer is primarily a car hauler, not an equipment trailer, and no doubt the axles are in the wrong place for the tractor. But, my primary use is hauling cars, and I can't justify another trailer.
