I'm going to build a new set of ramps for my 10000 gvw trailer I'm building them out of three inch channel iron with 2x2 angle for the cross pieces. What is the best way to place the cross pieces .with the flat side of the angle on top where the tires will be or put the point part of the angle on top.thanks Rick

I’d put them points up so they don’t get filled with mud.

Have a good look at some 3"catwalk plank before you build something If you buy the really open stuff and reinforce the sides a bit you have nice ramps for about the same money but a lot less work.

I think I'll go with the points up probably stronger that way. Thanks Rick
