trailers for tractors

Can't say its a frequent topic here so I become curious on this.

If you mean a trailer to haul my tractor with I have a 22" PJ 14K tilt bed and a 16' 14K dump trailer.
I have towed both of these behind the tractor also but don't have a dedicated small trailer to tow with the tractor.

For some reason, for use on the public roads, it is not as popular on this side of the ocean. :confused3:

This is what I use when I need to use the dumper and the V417 to load it.

Haul the EV to the jobsite, unhook the trailer, then drive back to get the dumper.

My trailer for hauling the tractor and my trailer for pulling behind the tractor are the same. In both cases a 14'x7' (deck between wheels), 10,000 GVW flat bed with wood sides.

Got a couple homemade trailers.

Built as wood haulers, no suspension and truck axles. But have hauled large rocks, dirt, manure, lumber, etc. Even hauled mowers on the one that has removable sides.

The small one is 4x8 with 24" sides
The large one is 4x9 with 30" sides.

Both will handle a good load of wood.



The trailer I haul the tractor is is a bit much to do anything other than just jockey around with the tractor. Its a 25' GN that weighs 6500# empty. Dont think road gear with a load of firewood is a good idea. Besides it would take way too long to fill it with wood even if I only had 1' sides.

I have an old New Idea manure spreader converted into a wood trailer approx. 4 x 12...haul a good 2 face cord per load.
Also have a JBM 8 ton dump trailer , I think is 8x12 or something like that.
And a platform wagon 8x14 with 8 ton running gear.
For my SCUT...a 4x6 JBM 1.5 ton dump trailer.

Is the chains in the spreader still hooked up?

Dad always told me about a wood hauler that grandpa had that was a manure spreader without the paddles on the back. But the floor chains still hooked to the PTO gearbox. Made it nice to unload.
