The BX series really are pieces of sh*t, no offense to those who have never owned anything that is actually built like a tractor. I'm not convinced that the other brand subs are any better though - all garden tractors on steroids (instead of little farm tractors, which is what I was expecting). I seriously regret buying my BX2200 - I'm going to replace it with a B-series one of these days, which are far better tractors for similar weight and money.

Everyone has their own expectations, experience and opinions. We own tractors from 22 to 85HP including a BX2200, BX2660 and John Deere 1025R and our experience has been positive with them. You really have to buy the right tractor for your needs and a SCUT may well not meet your needs, but my "opinion" is that describing any of the SCUTs as pieces of sh**t is fundamentally wrong; they do what they were intended to do. If someone picks the wrong size then that is a reflection on their knowledge or lack thereof and expectations not the machine's quality or performnce.

Let's just say that I am a lot happier with the B2620 model than the BX2660. True the BX did a whole lot of heavy work for me, as well as mowing open fileds. It would even pull a 12 inch mold board plow.

Yet the threat of the fan problem (even with the Kubota fan cover added) and its low ground clearance (great low center of gravity) caused me to move up to the "B" model. This is all the tractor that I need without any inherent problems.

Yeah, comes down to needs and preferences, if I didn't have other tractors, I'd have a B rather than BX. I've said for a long time, BX really needs to do some improvements in the SCUT line. Our 1025R has much better features, no HST fan and position control 3PH.
