Transmission question

Does anyone know if a transmission from a YM1500-D 4x4 fit a 1500 2wheel drive.

Im trying to help out a guy in Florida with this trans, but I dont know if it will fit his 2wd machine, all I have are 4x4s

Red or Green ? on Aarons site, the case seems to be the same but there is a different designation for some of the gears.

They are both red, one is a 4x4 and the other is a 2 wd

Im still wondering if the 4x4 will work on the 2wd ?

From what I gather from my 1500/1500D parts manual, the 4WD transmission will bolt in. The only gear differences are those for the front drive. The only possible fit problem might be with the 4WD lever, which could be simply cut off. If the drive gears to the front drive box don't hang too low, the cover plate from the original transmission can be used in place of that box. You could pull that box off your transmission to see if that is possible.
