Trapped wild hogs

One of my high school buddies wasn't all there. He was just not like anybody else and as a result, he did, and does things that most would consider very odd. He was also very entertaining!!

One time while out hog hunting, he managed to catch a piglet. It was still striped and weighed about five pounds, maybe a few more. He lived in an apartment at the time, and brought it home. That hog grew to about 150 pounds inside his apartment. She was a great pet, but of course, the place smelled pretty bad. She would beg for food, follow him around the place, went to the bathroom on some newpaper in the bathroom and got along with everyone who came over.

When the landlord found out, he was evicted. He found a place in the Livermore hills without running water, but on some acerage. He'd go to farm auctions and buy the dead goats and sheep. Then he'd dump there bodies on his land and watch for mountain lions. But that's another story. hahaha

It's been about five years since I last heard from him, but he still had that hog and they were the best of friends the last time I talked to him.

There are wild hogs in Southern Ohio from what I have been told by a friend who has a farm down there. So I would say that cold weather does not affect them much.

In Ohio they are considered a pest ( ground hogs and coyotes also apply ) and they can be shot, trapped, baited all year around and you do not need a permit on your own property.

How cool would it be to have a pet boar greet people when they came to your door!
