I have taken a Level One sawyer safety class. 1 day - 4 hours theory 4 hours field class. Ran saws for many years before this but learned a lot in that class.Who here has had any sawyer safety education?

Dad asked if he was OK, and if his "stuff" was alright. 
We are a rare group here!I had one about 12 years ago and had been cutting for about 25 years before that. It was a very informative class and made me approach cutting a tree down much differently.

Same thing with new motorcycle riders.I wonder how many are "first time" users or never had any training/experience?
It was a certification to be able to cut trees on our local mountain biking trails. It was done by a guy who is certified by the forest service but I do not think it was a forest service cert. (my brother just got that one). It was a couple of years ago, I would have to look who the certifying agency is.Forest service?
