Trees recovering?

We planted a decent sized willow last fall, maybe 8'-10' tall. It was getting leaves on when the cold hit. It's coming back nicely.

Early this spring after a couple weeks of nice weather we planted 3 small dogwoods, a 'patio peach' ornamental tree, and a weeping cherry. 2 of the 3 dogwoods have shown a couple new leaves, but the third one still hasn't sprouted the first leaf. I've seen a couple leaves on the peach as well. The cherry looks the best of all the new trees with maybe 40% of it leafed out.

I'm fairly certain the one dogwood is a goner and pretty concerned about the other dogwoods and the peach. Fortunately, the dogwoods were cheapo $15 jobbers from Rural King. The peach and cherry were from a nursery and cost $40 and $120, respectively. I hate the thought of paying that much for kindling!

I had some onions, radishes, and lettuce out in the garden as well. They all got burnt but have really come on here in the past week. We've actually eaten some onions and radishes already. The lettuce should be eating size by this time next week (assuming no more 17* nights!).

Looks like we lost 11 of the 12 roses we put in last year. Some of those were $20+ each, but most were from Lowes, Walmart, etc. I put a fair amount of effort into planting them, as well as a bit of blood. Mother Nature can be a real B****.

Forgot to mention that I found peaches on my trees. Three. On four trees. Whoopie! If I can keep the coons and squirrels off them I may be able to make an individual size cobbler!
