2 ways to make your life easier - first, use PEX, buy it in 100 foot rolls, much quicker and easier than PVC
second, why bury it?
I thought PEX was not UV stable, so it had to be covered or protected from the sun light?

It does, I would probably use the black poly pipe for outdoor use.I thought PEX was not UV stable, so it had to be covered or protected from the sun light?
My preference would be black poly pipe especially in ground with stones it has more flexibility and give then pvc or pex.

How do you adapt the poly pipe to the NPT thread fittings I would need to attach to swing joints or sprinkler bodies? Are those same fittings available with the poly pipe? (Sorry, know zero about poly pipe.)

I ran Pex to our barn. It痴 a home run-from a manifold to the hydrant. All told about 125?
I trenched with my gc 1710, buried 3-4 deep.
For the buried part I sleeved it with old garden hose.
Forgot, don稚 set the brakes and you can move along by pushing with the BH bucket.
