The railroad is doing what any other "neighbor" would do that is constantly being put at risk in their operations, they are putting up no trespassing signs (ie no crossings). Any other neighbor that had you landlocked would not be required to give you access unless you were grandfathered in (legal easement)

First you technically cant cross a RR anywhere. You are on their right of way and eveen though you own or have right s to the property still means your tresspassing if you just cross it on a not legit crossing.
The other is The guy in VT, you dont post your land but are ok with people just tresspassing and hunting your land? If i read what you wrote right, here with out permission you are still tresspassing on property if you hunt it and dont have permission to hunt it, regardless of signage.
Sandman here in SC you can not be landlocked you have to be allowed access to your property, it may take legal action but you cant not be allowed access, this may mean haveing to purchase a ROW from an unwilling owner via court ruling but still they have to let you in.

Here in the small town i live in we are split by the RR tracks. There were 3 crossings within 200 yds of each other. The main road that i live off of, a second crossing to make it a shorter trip for another side road about 100 yds from the main one, and then there was a 3rd that use to cut through with a dirt road to the same road as the 2nd one is on just about 75 yards down from the 2nd crossing (the dirt road was like 40 yds long though). CSX paid our town to allow them to close the one on the dirt road as to make it safer, via less crossings.

Town my Dad lives in was made the same offer, but refused it since it split the town and made the way around a couple mile trip. Heard the offer was $100,000.00
