Trick to keep quick connections locked together?

Assuming the dealer setup the tractor and installed the backhoe, I'd say this is his fault. If the hoses and fittings were dressed so they get hooked on the edge of the PTO cover and pop off, that's not your fault. In theory this failure could have happened to the dealer if he'd test driven the tractor with the backhoe on it.
Definitely not the dealers fault IMO.

At some point in time people have to take responsibility/ownership of their problems rather than want something for nothing.

Yeah at some point, but he said this was the second day he had it. And it's not clear but it might be the first time he used the backhoe.

I’m new to having a tractor and have discovered quick connect hydraulics can come apart very easy. One of the hoses to the backhoe shifted while in use, the fitting was sitting on the PTO cover and the edge of the cover put enough pressure on the quick connect collar when it shifted that it popped open.

It was one of the return hoses and it damaged the backhoe control block with too much pressure on the used oil discharge side (three hose system).

Anyone have any tricks to guard the coupling collars and prevent accidental release?
find a bicycle innertube cut the tube in 10" pieces uncouple one at a time slide the rubber tube on the line and reconnect them slide the rubber tube to cover the connection and zip tie tops, may help.

Thumbs up to Bobcat. My local service department came through and got a complete backhoe valve block off the assembly line destined for a new build and had it installed on my backhoe last week. The damaged components aren’t available separately so they replaced the complete valve block under warranty, approx $4000 value!
