Truck Bed Protection

This thread comes at a good time for me.

Saturday I bought a new F 150 crew cab platinum. I love this truck. I put a tonneau cover on it and am trying to decide on bed protection.

I have 2 trailers and will use one or the other to haul lumber or nasty stuff. I was thinking of getting either a rubber floor mat or bed rug for the floor only.

I have no garage. Opinions?

Another vote for bedrug. With it attaching to the bed and walls using Velcro it is easy to pull out ever month or two and sweep and sand that gets in the corners. I also have a bakflip hard cover that I love as well.

On bed liners.... I used a double coat of Herculiner in my last pickup. Still looked good and did a great job when I traded. Prep work is the key to making something like a DIY bed liner work well. Scuffing up the bed properly before application takes time, but the results are worth it.

When I bought my 2015 2500HD, the dealer thru in a Line-X job as part of the deal. So comparing the two, the Line-X looks better, but I have not seen that it is light years ahead some of the DIY products, when they are done properly. But the Line-X does have the lifetime warranty thing going on and one can go into any Line-X dealer to get touch up or whatever if needed. Because it was free, I like it better. Getting lazy in my old age and didn't want to play around with a DIY kit, especially when someone else will do it for free!

As for something over the top, I have always been very partial to the Access roll up covers from Agricover. Very good product, also with a lifetime warranty. They have been doing grain hopper truck cover tarps for years and same quality goes into their pickup covers. Does not go over the bed rails, so stake pockets fully accessible at all times. Adjustable and very tight, locks down for security and velcro sides to keep it all nice and tight. Tube cross bars that support quite well. Had one on my previous pickup and put one on my 2015. I did a total bed seal with this one also so to keep dust and dirt out of the bed with the cover on. Total cost of everything under $500.
