I used 2 door hinges on my back bar. I can remove one pin and swing the bar open or remove both pins and remove the entire bar.

When I was looking around, I found an old piece of gym equipment that had a steel tube, so I'll see how it does. Right now just u-bolts, but I might go with pins later. Thanks for the recommendation s.
