I finally got the plow setup done for this winter on my BX. I got the metal cut, grinded, welded. I used a wire cup on the grinder to cleanup the rust and dirt off the plow to prep it for paint. I primed it with oil primer from TSC and painted it. I used new kubota orange from TSC and added hardener to it. I painted the back of the plow black to absorb some of the light reflection from the tractor. For now I will be manually angling it, Will be using a hitch pin I got from horrible freight. To manually angle the plow seems easily done,m although My next project in future will be getting a double acting cylinder and mount it on plow. I will need to figure out how to add an additional hyralic port with electric diverter soleniod so I can add a grapple for bucket if I wanted. I figured that this way I will be able to manually angle the plow sideways as well tilting the plow when pushing snow up to the top of snowpile.

Looks great (and big!), hopefully you won't have any problems pushing that much snow.

It might look big, but it feels good. This winter will be a nice test . If worse comes to worse, I can always cut it down.

Why not use a length of chain instead of the "tilt cylinder" and then use that hydraulic circuit to swing the plow left and right?

There is not enough weight to keep plow down as I move the connection as close as I dare over the A frame. also I need to be able to do one of the 2 things- One tilt the plow to scrape ice If we ever get an ice storm, two I need to break the snow cap on top of the snow pile and then push more snow over the back of the snow bank. make sense ?
