Kubota L3400 HST
I'm trying to buy a used 2007? L3400 HST. I have all the financing set up and the bank wants the serial number. Myself and the owner (very old gentleman) can't find it anywhere. He is the second owner and received no paperwork on the tractor. I can't close the loan without the serial number. I'm going back this afternoon to try again. Any help?

Been reading a few years, just now joined.

Thanks!

try on top of the valve cover of the engine, or by the oil filter

Thanks for the reply. I've looked both those places and have found the ENGINE serial number on the valve cover.

Kubota says the TRACTOR serial number should be a 5 digit number, no letters. Can't find this anywhere.

There should be a serial number plate on the left front frame rail near the front axle. The model and serial number will also be stamped on the left side of the transmission case near the step, you may need to remove the sheet metal cover to see it.

I'll give that a try, thanks Brian. I checked the frame rails, couldn't find anything, but will check again.

Can't find anything on left side of frame, there is a place that looks like it should have a tag but there is nothing there.

Took the center platform sheet metal off, there is a number cast I to the left side of the transmission. 640G1 A.

I can find any 5 digit number anywhere.

You don't reckon somewhere along the line, someone thought it would be a good idea to take that plate off, to prevent going to jail do you?

Man, I hope not. This guy seems legit. Nice house, about 70, volunteers for habitat for humanity. Don't know about the original owner.

Seems like it should be on another place as well though.

On my B series the tag is on the right front corner of the frame, partially obstructed by the bolt on grill guard. It is also clearly stamped into the frame just below the tag.
