Trying To Identify My GT1554

I was given a GT1554 with a Kohler 27HP Courage Engine. Engine needed work and that has been completed and runs excellent. My problem now is identifying which GT1554 I have as the ID tag under the seat is faded and from what I can determine that makes a difference in parts for the 54" deck. Cub Cadet has been no help in identifying this for me. Are there any other areas that I may search to help identify this unit or pics that I could post of the deck, etc. I want to rebuild the deck as it is in fair shape, but spindles and other parts will need replacing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There were star type spindles and round hole blade mount spindles w/ Timkin bearings. A look under the hood for the build decal will have many of the part numbers which will indicate which deck.
