Tractor
Yanmar YM2210D
I had an accident (I took a stupid pill and paid the price) and the hood of my tractor is badly crumpled. I tried Hoye (their successor) but no joy. Any suggestions will be gladly accepted.

Sorry about the mishap. Is a local body shop a possibility?(Where is the tractor?)

All the best,

Peter

I am going to go by a body shop on Monday. It is pretty scrunched, and I don't know if it can be salvaged. I am in Colorado, as is the tractor.

Yeah, a collision shop could be pricey vs Fredricks shipping a hood to you.

There are places in California, Arizona and Washington with gray market re-builders too.

The closest place to you is,

The YM2210/YM2210D hood match other models too. Just the decal on the sides is different.

The hood p/n is 194165-61101

I think all of them are simply importing VN rebuilts. With random spare parts salvaged off warranty returns.

At least that was the case with the long-gone wholesaler in Northern California. They had been moving at least 200 tractors/month before their warranty returns overwhelmed them.

I asked if they could refurb my YM240 - no. No work done on site. They were simply the link between relatives that owned the VN factory, and their US retailers.

I think these US refurb dealers are similar, sales but little service. (Except Fredricks of course).

These US dealers might have parts salvaged off a warranty return, it's worth asking, but it will be random luck if that hood turns up.

I hear you. It would be random to find a hood with the other refurbish places. Fredricks is a special place, they have their own salvage lot or they know where to obtain parts from the exporters.

The YTOG does have a few known Yanmar salvage yards, like Southern Global and their 10 locations as one of the sources in the listings.

Now, Fredricks would have one advantage, they are keen to knowing if other hoods would fit, yet not the exact look of a YM2210(D). This is better than no hood at all.

There was a guy on Facebook Marketplace that was parting out a 2210d recently. I will see if I can find that post
