Folks

I just purchase a 3PH CountyLine PHD from Tractor Supply. This is the URL to the product CountyLine® Post Hole Digger - 2100220 | Tractor Supply Company

Unfortuatel the product manual and assorted nuts & bolts were not included (missing). If some one has this item I have a couple of questions
1. Does the product use a bolt to connect the bell to the pipe that holds the gear box ?
2. What should I use (shear bolt ? ) to attach the auger to the gear box ? It looks like 2 bolts should be used there instead of one ?

The rest looks pretty straight forward to me. I cannot find the owners manual online If anyone knows where that is located I would sure appreciate the location

What you have there is a PHD manufactured by SpeeCo. You can go to their website and bring up the page for the PHD's and and they have a "download manual" button on the pictures of the PHD's. Hope this helps, let us knowl

Hi,
This is my first post and I have been tractoring on my 2 acres for about 2 years now. I bought a TS Countyline Model 100 PHD 2 years ago and have dug maybe 100 holes for fence, retaining walls, nothing to write home about. Well something strange happened recently. I had hung up the PHD on a PI-shaped post and 2x10 brace for chains and 3-pt implements about 6 months ago, and the minute I took it down and hooked it up it began fast-leaking oil from the gear box shaft that hooks up to the PTO driveline. Wow. Had to be a bum "memory" in the seal vinyl where it got a smile that would not snap back and return snug to where it was supposed to be. Tractor Supply people agreed. One of them, a customer-oriented young man said he knew someone at the Countyline Division. He called his contact, had me fill out a form for my 2 years used up on the 3-year warranty and called his friend back and gave him the essential information. Had to be a vinyl seal gone all wonky-jawed from too much pressure from the wrong way. He would send the TS branch a repair kit for the PHD. So when I was called to come pick up the repair kit which was to include new seals, bearings, gaskets, and etc. and guess what? I could hardly lift the cardboard box. Inside, packed in a square wooden box was a new GEARBOX! Can you believe it? Talk about overkill. Driving thumbtacks with a sledge hammer. But I ain't griping. I just went all slack-jawed when I saw such service and complete caring about the cutomer. TS, I salute you. Maybe they thought I couldn't replace a seal. Or maybe they just wanted to be on the safe side. But one thing is certain: TS was on the customer's side. And the young man who helped me, his customer, knew what he was doing. I have always been a fan, but now I am devoted and dedicated to buying stuff from them. You think maybe Kubota might send me a new tractor if I complain that the FEL won't sculpt a dirt surface like cake frosting because it is higher on one side and cuts a llitte ditch on the other? Just kidding. Some guy wrote about buying an extended warranty on his bicycle at one of the chain stores. If I remember correctly, he complained that the bearing in the peddle went bad. They sent him a whole new bicycle.
