I recently purchased a Kubota L4310 with a FEL. I now need some attachments and wanted to get some feedback on the stuff at TSC. I need a blade (box vs angle) for grading our road and prepping our garden site. I can use the FEL for the snow until I can get a snow blower for the 3pt. I also need a rotary cutter, probably 5ft, and a post hole digger. I want a 6 ft tiller, but the cost is a little steep, and since I will probably only till once or twice a year, I can rent it till I can better afford it.

Also, has anyone ever used the portable shed they sell at TSC? It is like $350 and I could probably secure it against winds. I wanted to get a shipping container, but they are $2500. I cannot build a barn on my acreage until I build the primary residence (County code) and looking to give a little shelter till I can next year. Thanks for any feedback/advice in advance.

I've heard good things about TSC attachments. I'm sure others will chime in

Sometimes TSC "rebrands" King Kutter, other times it's TarterGate, etc. They like the name County Line, ie think Craftsman at Sears kinda thing.

On sale, with a coupon? One can sometimes gets things at a "can't lose" price.
Just know that TSC isn't trying to fool anybody, pretending to sell top of the line implements. Good to shop there, for sure, but they aren't the only game in town, even for budget minded implement buyers.

Everything Attachments is a good company and I love their videos.
Ken Sweet, a regular on here, has lots of good stuff and I've bought from him and recommend him. Plus, there is Craigslist, farm sales, estate sales, and of course, regular tractor/implement dealers. Patience and knowledge of what you are looking for can save you lots of dollars.

It's kinda hard to offer advice on TSC, since it seems they change implement brands like most people change underwear. Plus, I think what they carry often varies by region as well. Can you identify what you're interested by brand/make/model/et cetera? Perhaps with photos?

Which shed? The 8x10 tarp type (silver)? or that light duty canopy type (white)? Cuz you're not gonna get your Kubota into that 8x10, and implements are too heavy to manhandle into one that size. And if you add the gable piece to the canopy type, I'm not sure your ROPS will clear either. Plus - with the winds we get around here - I'd be afraid of a phone call from the next county saying "come get your shelter outa my front yard". Remember, you get what you pay for. And unless you can't afford more than TSC, I think you'd be happier with one of the smaller offerings from FarmTek or TekSupply or GrowerSupply.

FWIW, I've got one of these to protect an old coupe I've been restoring. Been up close to 2 years now with no apparent signs of deterioration. Being considerably larger than the TSC version, you could actually get your Kubota in there (with the ROPS folded down). Pretty sure the frame is sturdier too. I was lucky to get one for <$170 before the price went up, and by using their very plentiful "20% off any single item" coupons.

I recommend Box stores for products, like grader blades, landscape rakes, middle busters and carry alls. Products that you can actually see how they are constructed. If it has a gearbox on it, These box stores don't have knowledgeable to assemble and market the products. If you get a finish mower or roto tiller home and call them to ask what oil to put in the gearbox, I doubt they would even know the basic answers. They have zero info on specs or applications for your specific needs. If you want a part, they will have to order it. Bottom line: Keep it simple at the box stores. Ken Sweet

I have looked at the implements at TSC and chosen to go with Woods and Land Pride. We do have some "off brand" implements and time has proven for me at least the better quality is often worth the extra cost. The exception has been with certain Box and Back Blades with the only real difference in some models being the paint.

Overall, we do buy quite a few things from TSC.

Another good thing to know about TSC is that you can ask for 10% off if a piece is scratched or slightly damaged. Usually they dont even have to get a manager to ok the discount... So if they have stuff outside that is over a year old you can ask and usually get a dsicount...

The only thing Ill say is "You get what you PAY for"

I personally wouldn't buy much of anything from that store. One of the other posters said, the products they carry differ in each region. Well in my area they carry Agri-fab implements. Cheaper then that they do not come. A quality implement will last a lifetime. I think you would be much better off buying used, good quality

Excellent points made by all. I think the cost of shipping would dictate that I buy local, otherwise, Mr. Sweet, you have good deals. However, I am in Nebraska so it would literally be shipping it half way across the country. I like the rule about if it has a gearbox, buy better known quality. I have some time before I need the rotary mower, so I will focus on the (box) blade and the shade (shelter)for now. Post hole digger next. I am leery of online auctions, but will keep my eyes peeled. Thanks everyone.

I have bought a 6' rear blade there as well as a 6' rake.

I have used them both moderately and I have seen no defaults on the quality or in the results of the work. I like them both very much.

I paid $319 for the blade and $469 for the rake. Great value on both accounts.

Don't beat on them and they will provide you with years of good use at the residential level. Not made for commercial use year in, year out. IMO.

I have the 60" Box blade from TSC and love it......I don't use it commercially so it sees only easy work but for my use in dirt/snow it's great.....IIRC $569.

This years snow has been an awesome way to find out its worth.....

As far as the portable garage I stayed away from TCS's Shelter Logic......I ended up getting a heavier model from Shelter Logic 12x20x8' high (round top) for around $550. and it does seem fairly sturdy.....have to keep snow off roof but works for keeping stuff out of weather....it's only temp till new garage sprouts up in back yard.......

Well first welcome to this site and its good to see someone else from Nebraska. I am a frim beliver you get what you pay for but I also think some of the cheaper stuff from TSC will work just fine if not used daily. also craigs list is a great spot to watch if you are not in a big hurry for something.

Of our dozens of implements and attachments, most have come from auctions. There should be no shortage of those in Nebraska, at least that was the case in Kansas when I lived there. Consignment auctions can be a one-stop shop for you, where you can get high-quality implements with substantial life left in them for less than you would pay for lower quality items purchased new. We've also bought used equipment, including discs, mowers, graders, a backhoe, etc., off Mr. Sweet's and others' lots in Kentucky and from private individuals. If you aren't in a rush, auctions and private sales of good, used, high-quality items are the way to go, IMHO.

Don't completely write me off. I can ship 800 lb piece of equipment to Omaha, Nebraska from Kentucky for $146. Our shipping is not as expensive as most think. Ken Sweet

Agree. Ken Sweet sold me a outstanding Rear Finish Mower, delivered, here to Northern Michigan for less money than I could have bought a lesser mower from TSC or a comparable Woods from my dealer.

Okay, so what are the best brands? Or maybe the better question is what brands are best avoided?

I also need a rotary cutter, probably 5ft, and a post hole digger.

Your tractor can easily handle a 6' RC. that extra foot can save you a lot of time for not much more money.

We have the Hawkline by Behlen from Huntington, Tn. 5 ft brush hog for $795 with shear pin or slip clutch for $895. The Digger is by the same company for $575 with 9 or 12 inch auger. Ken Sweet
