Does anyone have a rotary tiller from TSC? They have a 60" for $1199. My dealer has his brand for $2000. $800 is a bunch of money. If so, are they a good quality? Do they give you everything needed to hook up to 3 point hitch? Is the PTO shaft the correct length for all tractors? I want to get something that will last, without problems.

My neighbor has a tsc tiller.Works great, fits any 3 point hitch and the shaft had to be cut off but so can any brand. I personally would not pay eight hundred more for another...teddy

The TSC is stuff is not bad, it is cheaper quality than what most dealers sell. For many people who use their stuff lightly I think its probably okay. The one draw back is parts, I can't tell you how many pissed customers we have who can't get parts for their TSC implement. They don't carry any particular brand, they buy a few 1000 of somthing, sell it, then go buy whatever is cheaper that week. You can probably get a Woods GTC tiller for $1400-1600 and actually have somthing of better quality that can be repaired if need be.

Oh please!!!
TSC sells King Kutter tillers. They have been for years.
I can get any part I need from the KK website.
Do a search on this site for King Kutter tillers, there are dozens of owners of that tiller here that think the tiller works great..
I have owned one for over 5 years and have never needed repairs or parts.
Very good tiller for the $.

Probaly you will need to cut it, just be sure to cut equal amt off both parts of the shaft.

To the dealer who says TSC tillers aren't as good as a Woods, all I can say is BS. My 60" weighs in at 690 pounds - built very heavy. If you have read this board at all you will find that there are probably more of these King Kutter tillers than any other brand. Its the same brand of tiller TSC has been selling years. They don't just buy up different brands of tillers and put their names on them. The tiller clearly has King Kutter's name on it.

My dealer said basically the same thing. It just chaps them that they can't get several hundred bucks for their tiller that is not one bit better.

I have tilled one day and about 3 acres so far with my KK tiller. If there is a better quality tiller I'd like to see it.

If you'll hit the Attachments forum you will see many posts about the KK tiller that TSC sells. They aren't "breed specific". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Besides King Kutter tillers TSC also carries King Kutter box blades, backblades, rakes, finish mowers and brush mowers.
Again they have been for years !!
There is NO PROBLEM getting parts for any these implements.

Guess I have tilled over 50 acres with my 60 inch TSC tiller built by King Kutter. 40 of those acres were within one week last spring when I tilled my garden. Very well built machine. When I was looking, went to the NH dealer where I purchased my tractor and he had one that was slightly used or was used as a demo, the price was over 1600 and not as well built as the TSC one I purchased for $999, the price has since gone up.

I've had my 60" KK II for almost 3 years and I haven't had any trouble at all with it. There are 3 things that you need to do when you get one though. First is to fill up the gear box on the side of the tiller, and also check the slip clutch and make sure it isn't set up too tight. Then you may or may not have to cut the PTO shaft, but you can do that with a hacksaw, as it is just oval tubing. Then you're ready to go. The price has gone up since I bought mine at $999, but it's still worth the money.

Have fun with it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
