How about having a tube installed and then put the slime into that? Will that protect the rim?
That is what I'm thinking of doing with the front tires on my tractor.
Slime will NOT hurt a rim. I have used it for a few years. slime can be removed with WATER and is eco friendly. I use it in my tubed tires since the tibes do not work all that great. Worth the $9.99 for 32 oz...In my Bx24 I love it...

I would agree that Slime alone will not hurt a rim, but it seems that if the paint on the rim was scratched, the constant moisture on the bare metal of the scratch would cause it to corrode or rust more quickly.
Just was thinking that unless the Slime is made up of noncorrosive ingredients it would damage the rim over time unless the rim has a good, complete cover of paint.
