I changed the oil in my 2007 x300r multiple times and it made no difference. Then I tied some 80w90 gear oil that I got from Wally World for 7 bucks a liter and it did make a difference. Instead of running 10 to 15 minutes before the machine refuses to ascend any type of incline, I now get about a half hour, depending on conditions temperature and terrain.
It worked okay that way until a few days ago when the axle broke (not related to the thick oil, I fairly certain).

Are many using the thicker viscosity oil that was mentioned... the 75-90?
i was going to do a rebuild however i contacted tuff torq and now they say you cant buy individual parts, have to get the whole kit according to the person i was talking with.
I did find a spring rebuild kit online for the pump and motor. Would this be worth doing?
