Here's a few pics of the high mount air filter I fabricated painted up and re-installed. The third pic is to show that no part of it sticks out further than the door.

I decided to remove the muffler and make my own exhaust. I had "TwoGuns" as my inspiration. Take a look at the pictures and you'll know what I mean. Now you can hear the turbo, the sound is soooooo sweet , its addicting. Really not much louder at all as the turbo acts as a muffler by itself.

you know i have been thinkin of doing that to the hpx but i figured it would be so loud everyone would here me comin for miles away.do you still have the can "mufller "installed and came out of that with the daul pipes or did you just run two seperate pipes from the maifolds? i just might give it a try on the hpx but i wanna leave the stock muffler can in place and come out of it with two pipes. welding and fabing it up ain't no problem maybe two stacks comin up the sides of the rops, lol

you gotta make a video so we can get some sound affects of that turbo .

That done it, gotta get me some twin tail pipes >>>> THAT IS SHARP !!!
There is no telling how far a man can go fabrication things for his RTV ....

That is some great work my friend !!!!

On another note, did you use the Kubota spray can paint, for that stuff is some kinda hard to paint with... Found out the cure for the paint, don't just shake it up like normal... Shake the heck out of it for long, long time, set it up on the shelf, do the same the following two days and then, maybe that paint will be as it should be !!! There was a whole lotta shakin' going on before I finally got the paint to act right... But, GOT - R - DONE !!!!

The muffler is gone. Alot of turbo diesels don't have mufflers as the turbo itself acts as a muffler and quiets things down. In states where they require mufflers on all engines the manufactures will call the turbo a "turbo-muffler" to meet the requirement.
It really isn't much louder than stock. Had I turned the pipes down to the ground it would have been just like stock as the sound bouncing off the ground quiets it down. Thats why most stock tailpipes almost always turn down.
Its not dual exhaust off the manifold, I just ran one pipe off the turbo and split it where the muffler used to be. I don't see why you couldn't leave your muffler on and then split the pipe after. It is cool to feel exhaust pumping out of two pipes while the turbo is whistling.:D :D

Box is just a cover to protect the hydraulic oil lines. The two bolts you see directly above it used to secure the muffler, now they secure a plate for the exhaust pipe. To minimize the heat transfer I did use fiberglass washers and some exhaust gasket material. It does get warm but not hot. You can put your bare hand on it even after its run for a while.
