I love it. Thanks for sharing your project. Looks like a fun project. I'll continue to follow along it will be interesting to see the life span of this engine. Please keep posting.

I would like to see the actual power increase, like a video of the same tractor mowing, chipping etc with and without the turbo.

I had a Merkur XR4Ti with the 4 cyl turbo gas engine and the turbo was turned up to 21 PSI and had a small intercooler added.
Power was incredible, you would swear you had a V8 under the hood.

My Uncle (tractor owner) Has a neighbor who runs a Kubota dealership, so one of these days soon we might see if he could dyno the tractor. It would be really cool to see how much power over stock ratings it is making with all of our modifications.

Hopefully it can be done soon, I'd try to get video of it. I'll definitely post results if we ever get it dyno'ed.

How's it going? Thought I'd give this thread a bump to try and keep it alive. Still using the tractor?

I am also interested in the 'real world' results. How's it sound under load?

Well i guess I'm late to this party ... WOW ,just what I was looking to do to my KM385 .... Excellent R&D work. it looks and sounds like she breathes nicely . If ya wanna put a good load on er , get a 60" rototiller, set it deep on virgin ground and watch that boost climb . At least thats the dream for my Foton. Nice job !

Hi Madmac74,
Today I had to go out for a snow removal and need to install my snowblower as we received around 6in (20cm) of snow yesterday. The snow wasn't much hard to blow as the temperature yesterday was oround -11c . The time I think of turbocharging my KM385 is when the snow is hard packed by the wind. I will never do that kind of mod as too much involve for a tractor that I use now to remove the snow for myself.
I am please and interested to see someone having the guts to take that kind of challenge and better how well it result.

This evening I was outside just to breathes some air, playing with my shovel. At -6c and no wind it was nice to be outside.

Regards
Jacques ☺
