You don't leave the tractor. Obvious you've not figured out how this works or how well it works. My poor explanation maybe.
But best you don't get one.. :D

It is a perfect fit for what I need to do, and that is remove several hundred spruce trees that are crowding my more desirable red oaks.
My mistake that I planted a spruce in between each red oak 19 years ago. I expected only a short 8-10' spruce to help train the oak, but instead got 30-40' spruce restricting the red oak growth. But this new tool is perfect for what I plan to do.

Sounds like it works for you, so you cut part of the tree with the blade, move the tractor a bit and push it over, I get the idea, I'll stick with cutting trees with a chainsaw and putting them right were I want them, if I have a leaner I take the time to tie them off just to be safe.

Dead trees are another story, half dead ones are just as bad. I hope you at least have a helmet on when doing it..

After a few weeks cutting down spruce trees, small walnut trees, and a few dead oak and elm.. report that this tool is doing what I'd never be getting done with just a chainsaw.
Yesterday set up the video camera to see how that would work, and in about 5 minutes time I had the tree down and hooked up to pull off. The stump was flush with the ground.
Used the saw to trim some lower branches out of the way so there was a view of the lower part of the tree. Works good to notch deep and use the push bar to start the tree falling away. Then sever the remainder at the stump and lower the height of the stump to ground level.

Very satisfied with this tool.

Looks like it works good on a smaller tree, although I wouldn't attempt a tall tree or a top heavy one, that could turn out very badly. Most of the tress on my property that I fell are 60 feet tall or better.

Everything has its limits. You shouldn't attempt to use this tool on something it wasn't meant for.. ;)

I want one of these on the CTL. I think I could cut a tree a lot safer that way. Does this have mulching teeth on the bottom of the disk?

The teeth are about 1" squares, and allows shaving the height of the stump about 1/4" a pass by moving back and forth over the top. When down to ground level, I stop "shaving".. less power than making a full 1" deep cut.
So no mulching teeth on the underside of the saw blade disk.. if I understand correctly.

i.e. don't try to fall trees leaning toward the tractor.. not a hard one to figure out. ;)

I was concerned that the 4300 might not have the hp to run this saw blade.. but it handles it quite well. The HST is a must, IMO.

Common sense goes a long way. Don't mind the nay sayers. Looks like it works fine to me. And that hydraulic third arm looks like an asset for that rig for sure. Nice!!!

It was meant to cut small straight trees with low branches, the way I see it is it has pretty limited use IMO. I get that it works in your situation on your property. I'm not a nay sayer, I see the tool as one that is very limited that's all.. If it had a grapple to hold the tree and it was hooked to 100hp tractor with a cage then you might have something.

The TurboSaw is perfect for what I need done.. and just it's ability to saw off the stumps at ground level would worth it alone.
Pls don't fret about it.
