I thought I read of 2 or 3 events, but the one that was posted is the one that I was referring to.
So NOT SEVERAL as you initially posted..

I've done that too.

I think this problem is rare.

How did you make out with your repair Doug? I am following this one closely because I use my DK-40se HST for mostly heavy FEL work.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm waiting for my repair guy to get over here next week. I have had several appointments away from the house, so I had to hold off until next week. I hear ya on the heavy FEL work. Having to muck my horses and fill the holes my silly Bloodhounds dig is a PIA using my Rhino, shovel, and a little wagon....

My Tractor is the smaller CK30 and at the 50hour service I changed the front axle lube to Amsoil 75W110 Severe Gear. I think that the 80/90 is too light if one uses the FEL for heavy work, like I do.

Were you greasing that zerk on the upper shaft support? (blue arrow in drawing) Thats the only way that upper bearing gets properly lubricated.

If you were, perhaps the shims (where the green arrow is pointing) were not correct from factory, causing too much play.

I'm curious what you find the cause was here. I hope things work out for you.

Where did you find the schematics for the front hub? Do you have a link that you could share, in particular, for my CK30 HST? Thanks, Dutchy

I have a 2006 CK30HST that had the same problem. I took it apart in my shop and went to my local New Holland dealer and they had the bearing and seal in stock. I was prepared to drive the 175 mile round trip for the parts. All total the bearing/race/seal and labor was 85.00 dollars. If it is the bearing the numbers can be cross referenced. Good luck. A lot of loader work will have some effect on the front end even though it is built for it.

Good stuff right there!!!! I've also used O'Reilly's Auto Parts to cross bearing numbers. Only buy from the manufacturer when it's necessity. :)
