I'm late to this thread. Maybe the tractor in question is a different year than mine, but the diagram on the first page is not for a DK45.

Back in the Tractor business! Final deal was 3 bearings, an o-ring, and a seal - about $190. 00 in parts and then about the same in oil and labor. Less than $400 total ( which I thought was reasonable as it's 20 miles just to get to my house). The mechanic thought it was probably me hitting a hole or running over something with a loaded bucket. It is only the second time he has had this with the DK series and he felt it was more of a fluke than anything.

Anyway, time to go move some dirt, pick up some horse apples, and get some quality time in with my tractor...

That worked out very well!!!! Don't let it bother you. Continue to use your tractor as you have. I think it was a total fluke. :)

I am also getting in here a little late with my two cents. I have a 2006 CK30HST that I bought new. I had the same problem with my r/front bearing giving out. I thought it was just a seal ,seeing oil on the the inner part of the front wheel. Pulled it into the shop and removed the wheel and axle housing only to find the seal was bad because the wheel bearing gave out. My dealer is 70 miles from where the tractor was so I went to the local New Holland dealer and guess what they had the bearing, seal, and o ring in stock. Looks like the N/H front ends are the same as a Kioti at least on a CK 30. It cost me 85.00 including new 80/90 wt gear oil and a pizza bought them lunch and they removed and installed the new bearing. I was surely happy camper.

I'm glad these parts are readily available and fairly cheap. I certainly wont say its a common problem, but I've seen it a few times in tractors this size., recently with a Massey Ferguson 1533, lots of heavy gravel work he had been doing in 4wd. Failed at around 1000hrs.

I don't think it would hurt to install a heavier gear lube than the 80/90 wt. I installed Amsoil 75/110 at change out. It pours to -44C so I know it stays fluid at temps that I'm willing to work in. LOL
