Glad it was a non event.

I am not familiar with this set up.

I'm having trouble understanding if one side was out, why was it not clear that it came out?

Probably less visual clues, the newer style covers the tractor frame mount making it less obvious the loader frame mast is not seated properly. If there was a picture of the inner side, the gap would have been more apparent.

Hello, everyone. I took the tractor to the dealer yesterday morning. The service guys looked at it and said, oh, that's an easy fix. It was fixed and I was on my way in ten minutes. Good job Stotz service department in Bluffdale, Utah. The problem, as mentioned by some smart people above, was the quick-attach system on the right side had become loose, and once some weight was put on it, it become completely disengaged. The right side was too loose, the left side was too tight. The guys corrected this, showed me what to do, and how to check it. It's embarrassing, and I realize that tractors are tough and meant to be at least partially fixable by the end user. Thanks again to all who contributed to this thread.

Excellent outcome, after we tortured your with doom-and-gloom scenarios!

Great outcome...
Bet the dealer has seen this before...
I would ask them what is a fail safe to keep the pin from not coming loose...

Good suggestion.
I leave mine on all the time anyway...
No need to take it off...
Too handy...

If you can sit on flat ground and lift the rear tires off the ground you simply need rear wheel weight or ballast. That's just not a balanced tractor/FEL and has nothing to do with brand. :)

I had a HD shredder on the back of my 95hp NH, with loaded tires, and lifted a full bucket of most dirt. The loader struggled to lift it and when I drove it, the rear wheels had a hard time staying on the ground. I had to put it in 4wd in order to feel better, but I ended up dumping some of the load to keep from breaking something.

You should not be embarrassed by the incident, chit happens. My words may have sounded harsher than others, however the intentions were good. Most of the answers are in the documentation that comes with the car, truck, tractor. We just tend to be too lazy (or stubborn, or..) to read it all. And in times of excitement (new .....) we don't ask the dealer people enough questions.

Glad it was a relatively painless fix.

I have manuals for all my stuff. I read every page of every manual.

Looks like one could use safety wire to tie the latch down. If you did not plan on removing the loader often.

The manual clearly states how to prevent accidental unlatching.

I forget I have manuals for everything, that I do save them, and refer to sometimes. And then there's the internet. But as mentioned by others, I was afraid I did something very bad and did not want to mess with it further.

Trouble is with internet there is as much or more BAD advice than there is GOOD.... Have BS filter in full detection mode on I-net....
