TYM wants to tip or roll over - need advise

I have a HS 394 TYM with a quick attach pallet fork. I was moving a pallet with 33 bags at 50# per bag of mulch. The tractor kept tipping the rear wheel off the ground. I figured this to be about 1650#, is this too much front weight for this tractor? Do I need more weight on the rear?

Remember in your childhood, around me we called them seesaws. They should have taught you at a young age the effect of levers. I have nothing against filled tires as long as it is a noncorrosive and mon lethal substance in your tires. But weigh on the rear hanging back approximately 3’ is a much more effective counterweight for your loader.

You need to have less weight on the FEL.

Also if it's a cast aluminum trans case......they can break more easily than people think.

Sorta related, my neighbor has a Kubota with a backhoe on it. He was working out a stump.
Cracked the cast aluminum case. Expensive part and expensive labor to replace.
He (and I) was shocked to see it was Alu and not iron.

That's an awfully tiny tractor to be lifting that much !! For heavy lifting I have an 1800 Oliver with fel.

Good point. I do not have loaded tires? The only attachment I have for rear weight is a 6' brush hog. Is that enough?

yes that will work I like to use my 72" tiller - its heavier than m brush hog and I dont need to worry I'm going to hit something with it backing up or turning but yeah the brush hog will work.

As Clover intimated, heavy lifts for a tractor can do more than meets the eye. Wheel bearings can be affected as well as steering assemblies and pumps along with gear teeth within the front 4wd housing.
It is also prudent to know the axle weight rating of your machine. Be aware of additional forces exerted when moving with a load that can cause the static rating of your axle to significantly be overwhelmed.
It is best to never use 4wd on a medium size compact with heavy lifting with the fel.
If you cannot successfully lift and move a heavy fel weight in 2wd, then you need more ballast that filled tires and/or additional rear weighting can provide.
Either that or provide yourself with 3 pt forks and lift heavier loads with the strongest part of the tractor.
