Tyre air pressures

By Mith's description, 3 of 5 implements are mowers, which are probably close in weight range. Ground engaging plows ect, if on the 3pt, may be a bit heavier. For the trailer, it may need more air if the tongue weight is excessive.

Swings from cool to warm are typically 3-4 degrees F. Usually, if you have to check your car tires hot, they will be about 4F over cold inflation.

My rear tires are set up as I mention. My fronts I run at higher pressure for the loader.

I am looking at my manual for my Kubota B8200. Others may vary.

My manual has a picture showing to do what I previously described. They also have an inflation table. They list 14psi for the turf tires I used to have. I used to run a little lower than that.. or else the tire crowned so it rode on just the center section. For 12.4x16 R1's, they list 17psi. I have 12.4x16 R4's, which were not availble when my tracotr was made(about 1985). I run closer to 10-12psi, or else I ride the center of the tire.

Goodyear gives a max load of 2070lbs at 20psi for my tires 12.4x16 R4 My B8200 with loader and scraper only weighs about 2200lbs...

currently yes...
but the knowlege wont leave me by the time i have a bigger tractor with the aforementioned situations
id rather learn now and play...work... when i get it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
thanks all for you input

side note, i put the tyre pressures up today. with a trailer with tongue weight too much to lift (so lots of weight) i couldnt go over places which were no problem with the lower tyre pressures. this may also be because of the slight rain we had but it seems about as dry as before. Also i have spun wheels on the lawn.

Since you guys are talking tire pressure I would like to add that whenever we would do a 50 hour inspection and checked tire pressure seldom would all 4 tires remain a constant. Probably a loss at the bead I expect. But since we started running liquid tire sealants in all four tires they have all stabilized. We no longer have any loss between our 50 hour checks.
