Tried the cycleing up and down no help. Lets say the bucket is on the ground, you start the loader up, the upward movement stops for an instant then jerks fast up to catch up. The only task is loader going up. When moving up and down there is lots of small jerks. Also the power steering Jerks and chatters starting at about 2/3 of max travel. The problem is the same hot or cold. Jim

For future reference, if adding new information about an existing thread, you should reply to your original thread instead of starting a new one. It makes it easier for people to follow the "conversation".

Now, on to solving your problem...

What has your dealer done to try to correct the problem?

Have you tried other machines (TZs and TCs) on his lot to see if they run the same? New Holland may have used a lower quality loader valve on the TZs to keep costs down, so they may not perform as well as the TCs that most of the members here have (and are using as a reference)

Does the power steering run off the same pump (larger machines have a seperate pump)?

Several things could be causing poor performance

1. Air in line - cycling usually bleeds it. But if there is a leak somewhere, new air will get in. Check all lines etc. for signs of leaking.

2. Crud in hydraulic oil - check filter.

3. Correct amount of hydraulic oil - check & add if needed

4. Pump or valve malfunction - could be as simple as an O-ring, but if not familiar with hydraulics, leave it to your dealer.

Hope you get your problem solved.

Did you read my post on your other thread?

( Every once in a while, I get the same thing on my 24hp twin to the TZ, which has the same loader as yours. It usually seems to happen when the fluid isn't fully up to operating temps, or when the throttle is a little too low. It also seemed to do it more when newer. I'm now at 50 hours, and it doesn't do it as much, but that could be because I have learned what conditions cause it to do that. I also think that too much air in the system causes it, and with all the times you're dealer has worked on it (and introduced air into the system as a result), that could be compounding the problem. Make sure you operate the FEL at above 2000 rpms & with a little more time to bleed out some more air, it should settle down.

Keep in mind that the FEL, 3ph, transmission, and steering all tap into that 13.8 quarts of hydraulic fluid, and the 5.6 gpm pump capacity doesn't do well if splitting the hydraulic pressure between multiple tasks, like a slow creep while lifting the bucket, or turning while creeping & lifting, etc. Just one of those things with a smaller machine. I can get a BX22 to do the same thing given the right conditions. )

I asked one of the service dept techs the other day about that and he told me that yes, the small machines with the lower hydraulic pump capacity will do it. All of your symptoms seem to be normal on these small machines. Like I said, mine has settled down as it's been broken in, and isn't as bad now as when it was newer.

This time the dealer came out and installed four small orifices in the lift cylenders for the front loader. This slowed them down some witch is ok but didn't realy fix the prob. At this point we cannot fault the dealer he has worked on it five times as instructed by new holland. Eatch time new holland has worked on the symtons and not the problem. They refuse to take ownership because it would probley cost to much to fix correctly. Verry sad. Jim
