My dealer and everyone else I talked to only sells and heard of regular udt (or "Premium UDT" as it's labeled) not even the super. Is there a product number for sudt2 that I could go to my dealer and order cause they are really good at that.
Half the time they don't know things exist until I hear about it on these forums and walk in there asking for it. They say no such item exists and I give them a part number and they are amazed that it does exist.
When they get requests now that they haven't heard of they call me to search and see if it exists and has a part number, lol.
bp fick said:Yes, Canada only sells "Premium" udt. No doubt equivalent to SUDT. Again, in the US, Kubota has been using Ashland (Valvoline) where in Canada, who did they contract with? Petro Canada?
UDT = 20w hydraulic oil
SUDT = 10w20 hydraulic oil
I've heard that the newer little hydro tractors (like the BXs) are sensitive to that sort of thing. Old klunkers like my L4200GST don't care much. I went from what I think was Super UDT (when I bought it), to a UDT/SUDT mix, to a 100% generic UDT-equiv. from Sams ($7/gal). Everything works exactly the same, as far as I can tell. I do get a slight shifting lag when it is below freezing, but the additional lag goes away after a few minutes.
