UFO report

Well...........maybe not. But I sure had my hopes up a little while ago.

I'm sitting here about midnight doing a couple of things I like to do, surf and listen to distant AM radio stations, when I start hearing a strange noise somewhere outside of the house. It sounded a little familiar but was certainly out of place at midnight. Then I started seeing a light flash by the window. It flashed about once every couple of minutes and then was gone.

Finally decided I better go investigate and guess what I saw? My drunk a$$ neighbor out mowing his yard at midnight. The light was the headlights on his Sears rider.

Way too much partying going on over there this weekend.

Kind of disappointing when I saw that mower. I was hoping I could tell everyone about an ET contact. Maybe get a ride in a space ship or something.

Must be the season for it. A friend of mine was awakened at 2 AM by some noise outside the home into which they'd just moved and went to investigate. What she found was her drunken husband riding around the yard with the brand new John Deere garden tractor I'd trailered home for him that Friday afternoon. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

She got him inside OK and didn't seen any lights on at any of the neighbors so thought they'd made a clean getaway, so to speak. He got up the next day with absolutely no recollection of anything from the night before. He even commented on how I'd left the tractor in the middle of the drive (I'd put it in the garage). She checked with one next door neighbor she saw outside that afternoon to apologize and was relieved to find they hadn't been disturbed. Her husband, upon hearing this, was totally convinced his wife and I had made the whole thing up just to give him grief about getting drunk, until....

That night (actually at 2 AM) six of his new neighbors appeared on his front yard on THEIR garden tractors! They decided on this plan while at a party as the one to whom my friend had apologized told the story my friend had told her that afternoon. What a way to meet your new neighbors! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

My friends husband got his Deere out and he and his wife went down the block to the party where, I'm sure, he felt he found kindred spirits and she commiserated with the other wives about the fact that "They're ALL crazy!" /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Well, I guess UFOs that come to the Midwest is different.
Now, if you were just in Rochester NY this weekend, you could be attending a UFO conference for a mere $110- where you could attend lectures on UFOs and how to spot them, as well as the different shapes and forms of ALF for a paltry $110-.

Nope, these folks just have small lots instead of acreage, and you can see the tops of the cars now out in front instead of behind the houses./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif We have our place up for sale, but potential buyers have to drive by a half mile of junkyards (literally) to get here.

Best we got is a guy that got arrested for riding his lawn mower buck naked. I guess he just likes the feeling of freedom. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
