Is this "Time Travel? That depends on one's frame of reference. The concept is mind-boggling, isn't it?
It doesn't boggle my mind. I don't care for science fiction. I am into the kind of science that enables me to build a barn, draw water from wells, get tractors moving to harvest and bale hay, clear snow from access roads, and make a good whiskey.

So, you follow the science and believe that the Sun you see is always 7 minutes old. And the stars in the night sky are from the years gone by. And even the goddam moon is not in the present? And we evolved from apes.

Give me a rosary. I thought my grandma was crazy. Her beliefs make more sense and serve a practical purpose.
Most of the theories of relativity, time dilation, etc. have been proved (at least as far as we can at our level of knowledge and technology)
We know even light has a finite speed (~186,000 miles per second or 299,792.458 kilometers / second), so yes...light takes 7 minutes or so from the time the photons leave the sun's surface, to the time they arrive at earth.

I realize you have certain religious beliefs and that's your right. But as I'd written in a previous post, best not mix religion and science in this thread.

And science is not science fiction...

i think theirs ether are, have been or will be some other advance civilisation on a other planet now i think their is evidence that their was with the declassified documents and in the abstract world the catholic now acknowledges they exist lol and some stories like Bob lazard whether you believe in what he say or
not…. with the amount of other solar systems in the univers and the amount of potentials life sustainable planets id say the odds are if there isn’t right now their will be.

as for as space travel to get them in reach i haven’t read all the post yet will be going back but id just say this - our imagination is restricted by our laws of physic …

Yeah, I agree. We had Covid back in late November, and our taste is still a bit hampered, although it's mainly the more subtle flavors that I can't taste. Garlic, onions, peppers come through loud and clear...as does that new mustard I recently discovered, Woeber's "Champaign Dill".

Hmmm interesting.

The reason I think the lines are so fascinating is that they are not visible unless you are flying. And they were made long before man had the ability to fly. So who could see them? All I have is questions. Lol

Thank you for your reply! (0:
yes they are very interesting funny story i work with a Peruvian and when he was a kid him and his dad saw a lady in the desert. Everybody called her the desert crazy lady the, locals all asked if she was ok and dropped her food and water… a few years later they found out all these new Nazca symboles and there she was on the articles. In the 1970’s they didn’t think there was other symbols and she singles handed found the most of them until the 2000 then with satellite homage and drone survey they found a bunch more.

I'm a hard science technology guy...not much into spiritualism.
Science, to me, is factual information
I didn't say spiritualism, which has to do with spirits. I said I am into spirituality which, by my definition, has nothing to do with the intellect.

Reality, as we know it, is based on our scientific account of our worldly existence. Science is a lens that we have created to view the world we live in. Science is a form of religion, a godless one. As a hard science guy, you are probably an atheist and eschew the moral values of traditional America.

Science may be factual to you. In stating so, you are dismissing the rest of society who find that life is "more than bread alone".

That's funny!

I'm not gonna post a link, but maybe some of you have seen the SNL alien abduction interviews? If not, look them up on youtube.
There were alien abduction interviews on Saturday Night Live? Hmmmmm Alien abductions are more proof that UFOs exist. Millions of folks may have been abducted by extraterrestrials. I have actually had relationships with some of those folks. Trust me ... they are telling the TRUTH!

That is completely false. The current conception of the universe cannot be proven. Everything you know about space is either a cartoon or CGI.
As an engineer it is easy to prove that the space travel is impossible (Newton's 3rd "law"), the earth is not a globe rotating at the speed of sound, and simply put a vacuum (space) cannot exist next to pressure (atmosphere) without a barrier.
Science IS not only science fiction but a religion where we are told to believe things without proof and without question.

Google "Aliens are demons" and research the other side of this argument. There are amazing parallels between UFO abduction cases and demonic possession.
