Doesn't surprise me. I'd be surprised if the government said they WERE alien spacecraft.

Imagine being able to just "step across" to a different reality? No big to do, no high speed techno whizz-bangery. Just like being inside a bubble, and then stepping outside the bubble.

According to Einstein's theory...Time speeds up or slows down depending on how fast you move...!

BTW...the faster one moves the slower time elapses...(not the other way around)

Now imagine you are back here again. Such a great distance, Rate and time meant nothing. But then, Are dreams real?

You might consider....

Native North Americans (and perhaps other social groups) had a description of the Universe.

"It is an infinite sphere, with it's center EVERYWHERE!"

Same as today. Look around you to edges of the universe. It doesn't matter which way you look.... An infinite sphere.

The actual "edge" of the universe is really just the edge of our technological ability to see or detect anything beyond our current capabilities...

I suggest that as we begin to understand that there are local 'distortions' of time from any assumed constant (gravity, velocity, black holes, whatever) all these moments are transitory, always in progression/history, and that there's no going back. As 'tempus fugit' could it be any more or less forward and never-ending than the expansion of the universe?

If it were ever to shrink/collapse I say it won't be a reversal of time too, or in reverse order of the past physical expansion. It may have begun long ago and we wouldn't know it was happening before we recognized our galaxy say on the way to merging with another or closing in on us. So far pretty much nothing we can observe beyond our own solar system will have actually happened in a human/your/my lifetime.

Life on Earth can be a metaphor for that you only get one shot and that's it. We see this in the flyspeck of our time vs the millions of years of our planet AKA 1/1000 the time since Big Bang. One limitation we'll always have when viewing stellar objects is that we will never see any of them in real time. If something is 100 light-years away we'll see what happened 100yrs ago. (radio transmission has the same real time delay)

The term is "Veiling glare".....

An electromagnetic curtain of uncertainty. All around us! And about the same distance, regardless of which way you might look.
