You think I can get my knife out on that guy that is asked for change and does the switcharoo thing instead of giving the guy a quarter? No, I still go Azetk over that Fiat though the Fiat is awfully ugly /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I admit but it does not have the Poser factor the Aztek has thus the Aztek remains my top choice but I am flexible on that. Based on Poser factor, I move the Avalanche to number two over the plain ugly Pacer who never pretended to pose at anyhting. Posing Factor has to count /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.

Ugliest tarctor...oh boy, now ya' dun it, this is sure to get heated!

I don't have one particular model in mind but those older tractors from the communist bloc nations were some pretty ugly tractors. Zero on style scale

Do those exterior Avalanche panels do anything? I know that on Star Wars all those protruding, intruding varied surfaces helped when being in WARP speed not to mention add to the complexity of the ship and back in 1976 it was admittedly very cool. Does it just make it harder to clean on todays Avalanche?

P.S. can't think of any tractor that even comes remotely close to being anywhere near the "ugly factor" as some of todays and yesterdays cars and trucks.

My vote for the ugliest tractor would be the one that Northern Hydraulics sells. I believe it's a "Jimma". I especially like the sunshade mounted to the rops that tilts forward. The tractor looks industrial to a point. Not at all asthetically pleasing.

My second ugliest tractor would be the air cooled tractor that Norther used to sell. I saw one sitting on a tractor dealers used lot. The thing looked absolutely "ratty". It is still sitting there. That particular tractor looked "ratty" when it was new /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Raymond Lowey designed the most beautiful tractors as well as functional, the Farmalls.

The ugliest new car/truck that gets my vote is GM. Straight across the board. Mostly for their new love of plastic. Plastic trucks even then front end on the HD trucks...YUCK ! I do like the 20" wheels especially on the new Dodge. The ugliest tractors I think were made by a german ferm ..Heirlman or something like that. They were like a army green. Dave

I related in a previous post that the plastic would probably cover the rust holes that develop later in the vehicles life. That is, if it dosent turn yellow like the 70's Mopar plastic trim did!!!!!

I beleive the older tractor Northern used to sell was a Belarus. Some were good tractors some werent worth 2 cent a pound. Here the problem they had was the heat as most were designed for super cold use and mild summer usage. I had a friend that had a Russian model and it was a pretty good ride, then he bought a newer emission improved one made under liscen in France and it would always lay down in the hay field. He later dropped in the motor and put a Perkins Diesel in the subframe. Doin good now. Still ugly as a burnt stump.

Daryl, I have a 2002 GMC sierra 2500HD with about 1/2 as much plastic as the new ones. The wheel wells are covered with that stuff and its sort of faded a light grey in 2 years. Worst of all it looks like poo doo from getting scratched as I go through the woods. I would very much like to take the interior of the Ford King Ranch set it on a GMC chasis for the great ride and drop in a HO cummings with the Dodge body and 20" wheels but not in Quad cab. I like the extended cab as I can still squeeze the truck in the garage. Dave

Give it a couple more years with our Michigan salt and whatever compounds and I wonder if it will turn yellow? My brother-in-law is a design engineer at Ford SVO in Dearborn and he said the color is moulded right through in the new plastics. Does that mean the yellow will go clear through too??

I can't get into a Cummins motor. I'm a Cat fan, besides I have a 550 in my Western Star. We all consider Cummins to be a boat anchor though an expensive one.
